Voluntary Arbitration ends Preventive Mediation case

Cebu City—The Preventive Mediation (PM) case between Ilaw at Buklod ng Manggagawa(IBM) Atlas Fertilizer Corp. and Atlas Fertilizer Corp was settled recently when the parties agreed to submit the issues to Voluntary Arbitration .

In a report to Executive Director Shirley M. Pascual, Conmed Paciano L. Murro Jr. said  the PM case was settled last May 8 during the parties’ 3rd conciliation conference.

The parties chose AVA Perfecto delos Reyes as their arbitrator.

According to Conmed Murro, the union filed the PM case on account of unfair labor practice last March 27.

Director Mirasol commended Conmed Murro for the facilitating the disposition of the case.

Atlas Fertilizer Corp is engaged in manufacturing fertilizer located at Daanglungsod, Toledo City.  It has three hundred fifty employees.

The union has one hundred ninety-three members.
