The Regional Conciliation and Mediation Board IX (RCMB-IX), headed by Regional Branch Director Hacelfeo T. Cuares, visited the Zamboanga Ecozone Freeport Authority to meet the newly appointed Chairman and President, Raul Miro Regondola on 08 September 2021.

Zamboanga Ecozone Freeport Authority is a member of the Regional Coordinating Committee of the Department of Labor and Employment in Region IX. 

Cuares and Regondola discussed potential partnerships and interventions intended for the current locators operating inside the Freeport area.

Chairman Regondola also helped the RCMB XI to connect with the human resource personnel of some of the companies in the Ecozone such as RPH Enterprises, Peakview, New Tradition Agri-Farms, Blue Shark Development & Trading Corporation, ZC Fastruck Group Corporation, San Ramon Power Inc., and CTK Asia Rubber Corporation.

Director Cuares took the opportunity to promote the services of the RCMB IX to the representatives of companies who attended the meeting. 

He also invited the companies to the upcoming National Conciliation and Mediation Board (NCMB) Visayas-Mindanao Cluster Convention on Labor Management Cooperation on 23 September 2021. 

The cluster convention will be hosted by the NCMB through video conferencing app Zoom. 

This year’s convention highlights labor-management partnership and resilience during the pandemic with the theme “Continuing Labor-Management Partnership: Conquering and Living with COVID-19”.

The convention will showcase the best practices of the Regional Winners in the 2021 Search for Outstanding Labor Management Cooperation and Grievance Machinery for Industrial Peace. 

With the warm reception of the Zamboanga Ecozone team and its 27 operating locators, Director Cuares invited the team for a labor-management cooperation pre-facilitation meeting on 24 September 2021.
