RCMB III Ups Staff Personal Effectiveness through One Day Training

The Regional Conciliation and Mediation Branch (RCMB) III conducted a one-day Personality Development Training on May 25, 2018 to increase personal effectiveness of the Branch’s personnel in dealing with stressful situations and delivering good services to the clients.

“Personal effectiveness in the workplace means accepting yourself for what you are and becoming aware of your own power to direct and taking charge of yourself and your life,” Civil Service Commission Regional Office III Human Resource Specialist Chief Randy C. Tababa said.

“You have to assume authority, accept responsibility, make choices based on your own values, goals and priorities,” Tababa said.

“The right attitude also plays an important role in becoming an effective person,” he added.

The seminar discussed attributes of an effective person, self-esteem, and projecting a likeable image.

Another topic tackled was the nature of stress, correlation between high tension and stress level to personal performance, and coping with stress.

“Stress is a fact of life but need not to be a way of life,” Tababa said.

“Instead of over reacting emotionally to stressful events, step back, utilize whatever coping skills that are helpful to you, because an effective worker is one who can cope up with stress successfully,” he added.
