NCMB 2018 Women’s Month Celebration
Every March of the Year, the National Conciliation and Mediation Board supports the observance of the National Women’s Month Celebration spearheaded by the Philippine Commission on Women (PCW). This year’s theme “We Make Change Work for Women” highlights the empowerment of women as active contributors to and claimholders of development.
The annual celebration is conducted to give due recognition to women’s significant contributions in nation-building. It also aims to create and facilitate platforms to discuss in pursuing gender and development (GAD) and inspire and empower women and girls to be agents of change.
As part of the continuing support in this month long celebration, the NCMB Central Office posted the women’s month streamer, use of all women cast lupang hinirang video during flag raising, implements the wearing of women’s month t-shirt every Thursday for the whole month of March 2018.
Also as part of the observance, the NCMB conducted seminars on Personality Development by Ms. Marita del Corro, of Mary Kay Phillippines, Seminar on Geriatric Diseases by Dra. Catherine P. Tacderas of Jose Reyes Memorial Hospital. Dr. Clarito of Department of Health talked about the Gynecological Disorders (Breast and Cervical Cancer and Geriatric Diseases) And a Learning Session on Women in Power discussed by Supervising Labor Employment Officer Ms. Sandra C. Comla.
The Women’s month activity ended with gender role switching and film showing (Danish Girl) on March 26, 2018 at the 5th flr. Conference Room, Arcadia Building Quezon Avenue, Quezon City.-Diadema Aquino Aguirre
