DOLE PHILIPPINES KISOLON FARM INSTITUTIONALIZE LMC COUNCIL

Laruk Kisolon Farm of Dole Philippines, Inc. (Northeast Skyland Zone) a Stanfilco Division finally institutionalized the Laruk Kisolon LMC, the company’s Labor-Management Cooperation (LMC) Council through the efforts of the Regional Conciliation and Mediation Branch X.

Union officers lead by Union President Junao Orillo and the Management team composed of Labor Relations Manager Efren Costa, HR Manager Jalisa A. Galos, Safety and Environment Managers Julises Conot, Richard Zacar, Archieval Sumampong, and John Rhandy Yosores attended the LMC orientation and committee structuring held on May 10, 2018 at the City Grand Hotel in Cagayan de Oro City.

“Embracing LMC as a way of life will help you realize that you need each other,” Director II Atty. Ligaya R. Lumbay said.

RCMB X Supervising Labor Employment Officer (LEO) Jocelyn L. Saa and Senior Leo Junaliza S. Aragon assisted in the institutionalization of the LMC structure.

Aragon shared the importance of LMC Program including its committee structure and responsibilities vis-à-vis DOLE Convergence Program while Saa discussed the Grievance Machinery Procedure and handling.

Laruk Kisolon LMC created five (5) sub-committees namely: Labor Law Compliance; Quality and Productivity; Safety and Health; Family Welfare and Grievance & CODI Committees.

Laruk Kisolon Farm is engaged in the business of  producing cavendish banana for export.  It has a total employment of 373 workers with 246 male and 127 female.
