NCMB- Region III Settles Dispute at Foremost Plastic Manufacturing Corp.
Seventeen members of Foremost Plastic Manufacturing Corporation Workers Union stand to benefit from the settlement of the preventive mediation case filed against Foremost Plastic Manufacturing Corp., Executive Director Shirley M. Pascual of the National Conciliation and Mediation Board reported today.
The case stemmed from the preventive mediation filed on February 22, 2018 on account of unfair labor practice particularly underpayment of wages, non-payment of 13th month pay, overtime pay, Sick Leave, holiday pay, premium pay, illegal dismissal of union member and unpaid salary of one union member.
Citing a report from RCMB-III, Edgard G. Aquino, Pascual said the preventive mediation case was settled through conciliation – mediation on March 8, 2018. The parties to the dispute agreed to a separation pay amounting to P 95,015.00 thousand. This will benefit 17 members. And individual quitclaim and release waivers were executed as proof of payment and settlement Pascual said.
Pascual added that the dispute took only eleven days and two conciliation and mediation conferences to settle.
Pascual commended RCMB-III Conciliator-Mediator Othello B. Tongio, Jr. for facilitating the quick settlement.
Foremost Plastic Manufacturing Corporation Corporation, is engaged in the manufacture of plastic and is located at # 3 Micro Street, sterling Industrial Park, Iba , Meycauayan, Bulacan. It has more or less 40 employees and is headed by Mr. Ramon Lim, a Filipino-Chinese, the owner.
