Baguio City – The night of the 28th of June was filled with tears and laughter for Director Lourdes Estioco, and Conciliator-Mediators Onofre Bautista and Yolanda Bugay, as NCMB honored their services to the Board. The event took place at The Plaza Lodge Baguio, 32 South Drive, Baguio City.

The program commenced with a trivia game hosted by Administrative Division Chief Rose-Maria Mamaoag. The game quizzed on the retirees’ employment histories, favorites, and most memorable moments with NCMB.

The retirees happily listened to the messages and watched video presentations reminiscent of their stay in NCMB from colleagues in the Central Office and the regional branches. Conciliator-Mediators, Directors, and CO officials led by Executive Director Maria Teresita Lacsamana-Cancio took turns in bidding farewell to their colleagues turned family.

Deputy Executive Director Maria Cristina Mangaliman led the toast and the officials had the honor to confer the plaques of recognition for the retirees’ exemplary service.

Outgoing President Jovit Morando and Vice President for Luzon Othello Tongio, Jr., representing the Conciliator-Mediators’ Association of the Philippines (COMPHIL), also awarded their fellow retiring conciliator-mediators with plaques symbolizing their dedication to the promotion and preservation of industrial peace.

Salamat, Paalam! is a tribute for the retiring employees of the Board. This particular activity recognized over three (3) decades of service of one (1) director and two (2) conciliator-mediators. Director Estioco was one of the agency’s pioneers with 35 and a half years of service in the Board. Conciliator-Mediator Baustista served for 34 years and 10 months in NCMB and spent most of his service in RCMB III. Conciliator-Mediator Bugay worked in MOLE/DOLE Regional Office III for almost 37 years before transferring to NCMB in 2020, accumulating 39 years and seven (7) months in government.

The tribute to retiring employees concluded the three-part event of the Board in the City of Pines.
