NCMB HONORS OUTSTANDING EMPLOYEES THRU PRAISE

The National Conciliation and Mediation Board, in the celebration of its 34th founding anniversary, has conferred due recognition to its outstanding employees through the Program on Awards and Incentives for Service Excellence (PRAISE).

The nominees and awardees of the PRAISE were selected from among the officials and staff of the NCMB Central Office and its Regional Conciliation and Mediation Branches (RCMB).

The awarding ceremony honored PRAISE awardees for 2020.

The NCMB awarded the 2020 Best Employee Award to recognize the excellent performance, integrity, and strong commitment to the vision, mission and core values of the Board. It also recognizes the positive work attitude, exemplary interpersonal skills, and constancy in attendance and punctuality of the employee. There are four (4) categories under this award, namely: Best Manager Category, Best Conciliator-Mediator Category, Best Labor and Employment Officer Category, and Best Organizational and Logistics Category

For the manager category, the 2020 Best Employee Award was given to Marife E. Fausto, RID Chief of the Central Office; Conciliator-Mediator Category to Conciliator-Mediator Othello B. Tongio, Jr. of RCMB III; Best Labor and Employment Officer Category was awarded to Maggie B. Balagtey of RCMB-CAR; and Organizational and Logistics Category to Michelle A. Pineda of RCMB III.

The NCMB awarded the Diligence Award to Pia Bianca B. Sambrano of the Workers Relations Enhancement Division-Central Office, Phoebe Jay B. Pagdato of RCMB VI, Marinelle R. Go of the Financial Management Division-Central Office, Ferlyn G. Alacar of RCMB III, and Cesar Ronquillo of the Office of the Executive Director-Central Office. The awardees were chosen for their constant attendance, punctuality, and timely accomplishment of quality outputs, tasks, and reports.

 

The Board also recognized employees who have shared their innovative ideas that resulted in the provision of efficient and improved service delivery to the Board’s clientele.

Mr. Ramir D. Peleo of the Research and Information Division-Central Office was awarded the Bright Idea Award for his proposal to create, develop and implement the NCMB Employee Portal. The said portal serves as a gateway to the Attendance Monitoring System for Employees on Work from Home Arrangement, Assignment of Weekly Workloads, and Submission of Weekly Accomplishment Reports, resulting in efficiency and improved service delivery.

RID Chief Marife E. Fausto, on the other hand, was also recognized for her conceptualization of an idea to develop and implement the online system in requesting a Certificate of No Pending Case (CNPC), in line with the digitization efforts of the Board.

Mr. Joseph Jireh S. Eguia of RCMB X was also recognized for his bright idea in digitizing the SEnA Notice of Conference through the use of Google Forms and Autocrat Add-on resulting in real-time monitoring of Requests for Assistance (RFAs) handled.

Mr. Felix G. Belza, Jr. of RCMB-MIMAROPA was conferred the Good Job Award in recognition of his extraordinary performance and dedication to service by carrying out technical functions in the promotion of the Board’s programs without setting aside his administrative functions.

All the nominees in the different awards
were given Certificates of Appreciation for their good work and committed service to the Board.

The NCMB PRAISE was approved by the Civil Service Commission on 04 January 2021. It aims to honor the Board’s men and women who have shown excellent performance and kept true the Board’s CORE values in pursuit of its mandate and mission.

It also gives honor to its personnel who have exemplified public service through their unsullied integrity, professionalism, interpersonal relations, and positive work attitude.

In the same occasion, the NCMB also announced Mr. Cesar Ronquillo as the winner of the anniversary theme writing contest for coming up with the theme “Sama-samang naglilingkod sa Bayan upang ang mga pagsubok ay mapagtagumpayan”.
