NCMB LAUNCHES THE ONLINE SENA FILING SYSTEM
Metro Manila – The National Conciliation and Mediation Board (NCMB) officially launched the Online SENA Filing System (OSFS) on 31 August 2021. The OSFS which serves as an alternative means of filing Requests for Assistance (RFA) digitally can now be accessed by clients anytime and anywhere nationwide.
To fully implement the system, a User’s Training for OSFS via Zoom was conducted last 24 – 27 August 2021 for the officials and staff from the Central Office (CO) and Regional Conciliation and Mediation Branches (RCMBs) involved in the handling and processing of RFAs filed online.
The activity focused on the entire system process flow of the OSFS and the Online SENA Users’ Management.
During the first day, the participants were provided with the general overview of the online system. The resource speakers presented the different scenarios for the various types of filers (e.g. Individual Filer, Group of Worker Filer, Union Filer, OFW Filer, Kasambahay/FamilyDriver Filer, and Employer Filer) while showing different sets of information essential prior to a filer submitting its complaint.
The Users’ Management Orientation dealt with how the Request for Assistance (RFA) will be handled by personnel-in-charge.On the succeeding days (second to fourth day) of the training, the facilitators gave the participants a personal experience on how to utilize the system through the hands-on workshop/exercise. This ranged from how the online RFA was filed by the filer down to how it should be handled by the designated online system handler. The participants were clustered accordingly by group. While the conduct of the training was deemed to be successful, the recommendations and observations of the participants proved to be very useful to enhance and improve the system.
The NCMB Online SEnA Filing System was developed as part of the digitization program and initiative of the NCMB to address the impact to operations of the COVID-19 pandemic. The Online SENA Filing System can be accessed at the Board’s official website, ncmb.gov.ph. It aims to help the Board’s clients to easily file their RFAs despite the restrictions due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
The activity was spearheaded by the Research and Information Division (RID) headed by Marife E. Fausto, Ramir D. Peleo, Ianne R. Go, Arthur R. Audea, Javani V. Paray and with the assistance of Ms. Tess Kinsy F. Comandante and Eloisa Mae Aquino of the Conciliation Mediation Division (CMD).
