General Santos City – A laborer/harvester of DOLE Community Multi-Purpose Cooperative (DCO-MPC), Polomolok South Cotabato received P11,664.29 in monetary claims after filing a request for assistance with the Regional Conciliation and Mediation Board Branch XII Satellite Office in Gen. Santos City.

Dominador Narvasa, Jr. filed the RFA on November 11, 2016 alleging underpayment of overtime pay and illegal dismissal due to an unproven accusation.

On November 23 2016 , Narvasa and 3 representatives of DCO – MPC including the General Manager, Miss Mary Ann Biana appeared before SEADO James D. Guazo. During the conference, Narvasa expressed that he no longer wishes to regain his employment but rather, they would like to receive their monetary claims.

The parties agreed to settle during the first and only conference and Narvasa received P11,664.29 representing his separation pay, 13th month pay and his unpaid loan to the cooperative.

The SENA program is an alternative dispute resolution system that de-judicailize labor dispute settlement system through a 30-day mandatory conciliation-mediation in all labor cases.
