The Regional Conciliation and Mediation Branch-NCR held a two-day seminar workshop on the operationalization of grievance machinery and facilitation of labor management council for various companies on 23-23 November 2016 at the Hotel Jen Manila in Roxas Boulevard, Pasay City.
“Thirteen companies, both organized and unorganized, in the NCR were represented by 28 participants in the seminar,” RCMB-NCR Director Teresita E. Audea said.
“We hope to educate and assist companies in establishing bipartite mechanisms such as the LMC and GM,” she added.
Audea discussed the Labor and Management Relations aspects of collective bargaining, grievance handling, and industrial dispute. As well as its impact on sectoral competitiveness.
She also emphasized the interdependent relationship of Labor and Management in every workplace.
Meantime, OIC Chief LEO Nina C. Lorena discussed the basic concepts of LMC and the difference of the program to Grievance Machinery, emphasizing the importance of LMC in the workplace.
Conciliator-Mediator Ma. Delia D. Yu tackled the difference between Company Personnel Policy and Company Rules and Regulations (CRR).
“Problems arising out of the implementation of CPP or CRR needs the application of grievance machinery,” Yu said.
The seminar-workshops drove the participants to commit for the establishment of LMC and GM at their workplaces.
Audea thanked the participants for spending their valuable time attending the seminar.
“We wish you luck in embracing LMC and GM. We hope to see you next year in the enhancement seminar,” Audea added.
