Puerto Galera – The Regional Conciliation and Mediation Branch IV-B and the Oriental Mindoro Industrial Peace Advocates (ORMIPA) conducted an action planning and team building exercises on December 10-11, 2016 at the Sabang Hill Resort, Sabang, Puerto Galera. The activity aims to encourage its members to actively promote LMC in the region, as well as to participate in the activities and projects of the Branch.

During the planning session, ORMIPA President Renita A. Alba provided an update on the status of the association’s registration with the DOLE.

“We want to thank the NCMB for their continued support and guidance in all our undertakings,” Alba said.

“Noon iniiwasan namin ang mga taga gobyerno, ayaw naming silang harapin, until I became an officer of the ORMIPA, masarap pala kayong katrabaho,” Josephine Ringholm, member of the Board of Directors said.

“Updated kami sa mga bagong kalakaran at programa ng DOLE. Malaking tulong ito para mapanatili namin ang magandang samahan dito sa aming trabaho. ” she added.

ORMIPA is working on the creation of its own Facebook page and website in order to be connected with its members and social partners through social media. The association also plans to release its first newsletter in March 2017.

Director Lourdes P. Estioco suggested ORMIPA to organize a sports festival and invite all LMC practitioners in Mindoro to strengthen the relationship of the members.

ORMIPA is the regional association of LMC practitioners in MIndoro. It has 96 member establishments as of November 30, 2016.
