Workplace Relations Enhancement or Labor and Management Cooperation, is a program of the National Conciliation and Mediation Board (NCMB) that promotes partnership of labor and management in working towards a common goal.
By establishing workplace cooperation, the welfare of the workers becomes a primary foundation in increasing productivity at the workplace.
In line with the goals of the program, the Family Welfare Program of the DOLE seeks to introduce the concept of promoting the welfare of workers and their families as a key to workplace productivity and improved worker-management relations.
RCMB IV-B Supervising LEO Julia P. Peleo said that the Branch incorporates Family Welfare Program in their discussion of workplace cooperation even in smaller companies.
“We include at least three applicable dimensions of the Family Welfare Program in companies with less than 200 employees,” Peleo added.
The Branch recognizes the importance of management support in promoting workers’ quality of life by adopting a family centered approach in the workplace.
During the activity, Dr. Ian Kenneth C. Bermeo, Chief Operating Officer of Adventist Hospital Palawan, shared the Family Welfare programs of the hospital.

The activity was hosted by the Family Welfare Club (FWC) – Palawan and DOLE- Palawan Field office. It was the first Family Welfare Club webinar facilitated by DOLE-Palawan Field Office with speakers coming from Roots of Health and Adventist Hospital Palawan.
