Regional Conciliation and Mediation Branch III has a new chief in the person of Director Edgar Guardiano Aquino.

Aquino took the helm of RCMB III upon the designation of former RCMB III Director Maria Teresita L. Cancio as Officer-in-Charge – Deputy Executive Director of the Board. The leadership and banner was formally turned over to Aquino on September 01, 2015.

Aquino thanked everyone in the Branch for welcoming him warmly and requested them to continue their full support in accomplishing the Branch’s regional programs and targets.

Before his transfer to RCMB III, Aquino was director of Regional Conciliation and Mediation Branch, National Capital Region, since October 24, 2013.

He began his career at the Department of Labor and Employment, Bureau of Working Conditions as Clerk III on July 24, 1992. He was promoted to Labor and Employment Officer I in July 22, 1993, and Labor and Employment Officer III in December 21, 1998.

He was appointed as Conciliator-Mediators on August 01, 2005. Aquino is a member of the DOLE SENA team that won the Presidential Lingkod Bayan award (group category) in 2013. He was subsequently promoted as Director II in the same year.

He has a BS Electrical Engineering degree from the Technological Institute of the Philippines in Quezon City, and obtained his Master’s Degree in Educational Management at the Polytechnic University of the Philippines in 2006.

Aquino was born in Montalban, Rizal on March 10, 1969. He is married to former Gloria Mariano with whom he has three children.
