The labor dispute between Coca Cola Beverages Philippines, Inc. and Coca-Cola Bottlers Philippines Inc. Employees Union (CCBPIEU) involving 6,000 employees was settled on January 16, 2020 after the parties reached an agreement on the notice of strike filed.

The union, CCBPIEU filed a notice of strike on grounds of bargaining deadlock on 5 December 2019.

The joint efforts of Executive Director Maria Teresita D. Lacsamana-Cancio, RCMB III Director Edgar G. Aquino, OIC-CMD Chief Ericson L. Igual  and Conciliator-Mediator Othello B. Tongio, Jr. in the conduct of several conciliation conferences for the settlement of the dispute.

The parties finally reached an agreement on the deadlocked items particularly on the grant of a union fund.  However, the issue on Saturday Premium Pay (SPP) shall be submitted to Voluntary Arbitration (VA) in accordance with the provision of the parties’ CBA.

The company, Coca Cola Beverages Philippines, Inc.is engaged in the manufacture and distribution of soft drinks and other beverage products is headed by its company president, Mr. Gareth Mcgeown.  It is located at Muralla Industrial Park, Meycauayan City, Bulacan.

Coca-Cola Bottlers Philippines Inc. Employees Union (CCBPIEU), headed by Mr. Amado Gomez III, is the certified sole and exclusive bargaining agent of the rank- and-file monthlies union  the company.  It is affiliated with the National Labor Union (NLU).
