Representatives from five Butuan City companies express strong support for NCMB’s core programs—LMC and GM—during the Plant-Level Orientation Seminar held on May 28, 2025, at the LM Ting Foodilicious Corp. main office.

What began as a monitoring visit evolved into a meaningful dialogue and culminated in a strategic planning session focused on strengthening workplace relations and conflict resolution through bipartite mechanisms.

Butuan City – Following a productive exchange with LM Ting Foodilicious Corporation Human Resource Officer Janus Balacuit, the Regional Conciliation and Mediation Branch-Caraga (RCMB-Caraga) promptly organized a Plant-Level Orientation Seminar (PLOS) on May 28, 2025, held at the LM Ting Foodilicious Corp. main office in Butuan City.

The seminar served both as a reorientation and monitoring session for two long-time partner companies: LM Ting Foodilicious Corp. (Rose Bakeshop) and New Rosario’s Food Corp. (Rosario’s Dimsum). These companies had previously collaborated with RCMB-Caraga in establishing Labor-Management Cooperation (LMC) and institutionalizing Grievance Machinery (GM) mechanisms as early as May 15  to 16, 2017.

The session offered a timely refresher for both management and worker representatives, reinforcing the significance of LMC and GM as vital tools for promoting constructive dialogue, collaborative problem-solving, and preventing workplace disputes.

Beyond the reorientation, RCMB-Caraga also used the occasion to assess the current implementation of the LMC and GM practices in the two firms. The assessment aimed to ensure the continued relevance, effectiveness, and sustainability of these mechanisms in maintaining industrial peace.

As of May 31, 2025, the RCMB-Caraga has successfully monitored four companies across the region as part of its ongoing efforts to promote the proper implementation of the bipartite mechanisms.

The recent activity also paved the way for the institutionalization of LMCs and GMs in three additional enterprises: Amaris Merav Corporation, Aren Holdings, and Amarah Hotel. These new developments marked significant milestones for RCMB-Caraga, bringing the Branch’s accomplishments to 14 LMCs facilitated and 14 GMs institutionalized or operationalized within the first five months of the year.

Participants gained a deeper understanding of labor dispute prevention and resolution, with a strong emphasis on the Board’s core programs—LMC and GM. The discussion also underscored the value of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) being an efficient, cost-effective, and relationship-preserving approach to resolving labor disputes.

Motivated by the orientation, the three companies voluntarily organized and established their respective LMC councils and GMs, demonstrating a proactive commitment to fostering harmonious labor relations.

This multi-faceted activity exemplifies RCMB-Caraga’s unwavering dedication to NCMB’s advocacy: promoting social dialogue, strengthening workplace cooperation, and ensuring long-lasting industrial peace.end/mcja as edited
