Quezon City, Philippines – The National Conciliation and Mediation Board recently held an Induction/Orientation Program for 18 New Employees from various regional branches and the Central Office, on 4-6 February 2025 at the NCMB Library via an online set-up. The orientation allows for an informative experience that aims to provide the new hires with the necessary knowledge and skills needed to seamlessly integrate into the Board’s operations.
The program was attended by the new employees from the Central Office, RCMBs I, III, IV-A, IV-B, V, VII, IX, and XII.
In her opening message, Executive Director Maria Teresita D. Lacsamana-Cancio warmly welcomed the new team members, congratulating them on their successful application and official joining of the Board. She expressed her confidence in their potential to contribute meaningfully to the Board’s mission and wished them success in their journey. “We believe in your capabilities to become valuable assets of the Board, and we look forward to working with you for a long time,” ED Cancio said.
Following ED Cancio’s remarks, Deputy Executive Director Maria Cristina O. Mangaliman of Internal Services provided an overview of the Department’s vision, mission, mandate, and history, as well as that of the Board’s vision and mission, core values and history. She also introduced the Board’s core programs and services, ensuring the new employees gained a strong understanding of the Board’s values and role in labor relations.
The orientation continued with presentations from the different Division Chiefs, and other staff of the Board, who discussed the Board’s core programs, division functions, and committee membership. The Administrative Division also led the discussions on employee benefits, code of conduct, and available career development opportunities that employees may take advantage of for their growth within the organization.
In closing, Deputy Executive Director Teresita E. Audea of the Technical Services gave an inspiring message to the participants, sharing her personal story how she started her career with the Board and why she has chosen to stay for so long. “It’s not about the money. It’s about the service you give to others that makes you happy,” DED Audea shared.
The orientation concluded with a sense of enthusiasm and positivity, leaving the new employees feeling warmly welcomed and eager to embark on their careers with the Board.
With this successful 3-day orientation, the NCMB reaffirmed its commitment to cultivate talents and deliver quality services with efficiency and professionalism.
