NCMB LIOs GET INSPIRATION FROM EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Quezon City- The designated Labor Information Officers (LIOs) of the National Conciliation and Mediation Board (NCMB) received an inspiring message from NCMB Executive Director Shirley M. Pascual when she delivered her talk during the opening program of the Seminar-Workshop on Enhanced Technical Writing and Communication Plan on May 23, 2018.

Quoting Jose Rizal’s adage, “the pen is mightier than the sword,” Pascual reminded the LIOs that their foremost job is to promote the Board’s programs through their writing.  “I place great importance on your job as writers because this includes your interpretation of data which is more powerful than numbers,” she said.  Pascual added she wanted better improved writers out of the three-day seminar-workshop. “We reduced your number because we did not see the growth of others and we consider you as the best pool of writers in the Board.”

Pascual assured that every time they will submit their write ups, the LIOs will also receive feedbacks from the Central Office’s feedback mechanism. She advised the group to enjoy learning from the activity while challenging them not to fail the Board.

“Along with our stakeholders, I look forward to reading your outputs and don’t forget to always put NCMB to greater heights by upholding in your articles the Board’s principles on non-conflict, non-confrontation, mutual respect and win-win cooperation between labor and management,” Pascual ended.

The three-day seminar-workshop was conducted at the B Hotel in Barangay Laging Handa on May 23-25.  It was participated in by 28 selected LIOs from the Central Office and 13 NCMB regional branches.
